DIGITAL LOGIC GATES

Digital logic gate is an electronic simiconductor device or gedget or component, and it is ability to perform task like logic operation in degital circuit.

What is logic operation?

It is a numbers of task in digital circuit in only ‘0’ and ‘1’ , That numbers has many input and output in form of gates these input collect or received signals and perform processing inside gates device and give output signals that is called logic operation.

What is digital Logic?

Digital logic is represent the binary numbers like  ‘0’ and ‘1’ that number is also called ON and OFF and also electrical signals like volts 0 to 5volts,  another called low and high ,true and false.

Boolean Algebra

It is a table to represent input and output  in th form of number like 0 and 1  called boolean algebra or Truth tables.

 

Terminals.

It is commonly have two inputs terminals and have one output terminal in single logic gate device except (inverter gate )

inverter gate have one input and one output terminals only.

Contruction or built logic gates.

This device is available in relavant electronic market in the form of intetrated circuit, (ICs), and implemented making diode, transistors, relays and resistor and many electronic device that the reason can be manufacturing in large variety in form of integrated circuits.

Uses of Logic gate

It is uses on Several gedgets or circuits, tobe use like relays,(logic relay), It is also be use in Pneumatic logic, It is use to be  performing machanical task, Toys , Robotics gedget,and amplification, computer memory and microprocessors.

Microprocessor, contain inside have more and more 100 million gates in advance practices.

Many gates is construction to made in (MOSFETs) Metal-Oxide-Simiconductor Field-Effect Transistor to make Electronic gedgets.

Logic gates can be use in Programmable logic devices.

It is equivalant in Switch and Relay but it perform task more time,  digital gates perform task and operate less timing like micro seconds, there is operation is more faster and consume less power.

Types of Logic gates

Basic Logic gates are:

  • NOT GATE.
  • AND GATE.
  • OR GATE.
  • NAND GATE.
  • NOR GATE.
  • EXOR GATE.
  • EXNOR GATE.

All gates have their own truth table and circuit symbol.

NOR gate is equal to OR gate the difference of NOR and OR gate is OR is inverse to NOR gate.

XOR

There last then 2 remaining gates of the  logic gates: XOR, that stands for Exclusive OR, and XNOR, that stands for Exclusive NOR. In associate degree gate, the output is HIGH if one, and just one, of the inputs is HIGH. If each inputs square measure LOW or each square measure LOW, the output is LOW.

An XNOR gate (sometimes spoken by its extended name, Exclusive NOR gate) could be a digital gate with 2 or additional inputs and one output that performs logical equality. The output of AN XNOR gate is true once all of its inputs square measure true or once all of its inputs square measure false. If a number of its inputs square measure true et al. square measure false, then the output of the XNOR gate is fake.
