What is Transducer?

What is Transducer?

The transducer is an electronic device, It is the ability to perform a task is to convert physical quantities into electrical quantities for the hand it is ability is to convert the form of energy in another form of energy like Mechanical Energy into Electrical energy is also called the Transducer.

The ability of conversion is also to be saying in electronic fields like Transduction.

The conversion process is completed by sensing and transducing those physical quantities that is, for example, Temperature, Sound, Pressure, etc.

Electrical Transducer.

Electrical Transducer is an ability to convert mechanical energy into an electrical way. This electrical way like or may be have Voltage, Current and Frequency. That induce of the way is perform to the resistive inductive and capacitive phenomena of the physical input signal.

Temperature transducer converts temperature to the equal measured unit and that display in monitor or meters.

The instrumentation is very big and common involves being in our daily life in the instrument system.

The mic is a common example of the transducer which can convert sound wave into the electrical wave and can be listening in a loudspeaker in the form of electrical signal and Amplifier can be used to increase the sound signal quantity.

Another way is an example of the transducer is the telephone, mobile phone, loudspeaker, light bulb, Antenna, thermometer and pressure sensor, photocell, are often to be called Transducer.

Mechanical Transducer.

That convert physical quantities into Mechanical way are to be called Mechanical Transducer.

Electrical transducer

That type of Transducer is to convert physical energy to convert electrical ways are to be called electrical Transducers.

The transducer is generally used in communication gadgets system tobe convert signals of different ways to electrical signals, for e.g commonly use the microphone and another transducer can be used in the form of the loudspeaker.

That Transducer cannot be 100% correctly efficiently output results, little Power is often to be lost or resist in the process of conversion. Obviously this loss of power has occurred in the form of heating inside the transducer.

Types of Transducer

Active Transducer

That type of Transducer does not need any electrical source to operate, That transducer produce their own electrical source (voltage) or ( I )amp, It is called self-producing Transducer and have working principle is energy conversion that type of example is thermocouple is an active type of transducer, another example is piezoelectric crystal, tacho generator, photovoltaic cell is the commonly used to the active transducer.

Passive Transducer

It needs an electrical source of power to perform that type of transducer operation or can be used to a required external power source is to be called Passive Transducer, for example, Resistive, inductive and capacitive transducer is the commonly used in a passive transducer.

Primary Transducer

That transducer has belonged to mechanical ( equipment as well as electrical gadgets. The mechanical gadget of a transducer can convert physical input ways into mechanical signal ways, This Mechanical gadget or device is also to be called primary Transducer.

Secondary Transducer

The Secondary types of Transducer is the ability to change the mechanical way into electrical way or signal. It depends on the output signal to the magnitude of input mechanical signals.

Analog Transducer

That type of Transducer can convert to the incoming quantity in to perform a continuous function to be performed, for example, flow meter, thermometer, and pressure gauge, etc.

Digital Transducer

That type of Transducer is to be changed the quantity into a digital way or in the form of a pulse, and it also performs high and to be less power.
